DAY 11, Park City UT Resting

PARK CITY

Stayed here 2 nights (last night and tonight!) at the AC Hotel by Marriot. Nice property, good rate. Park city itself is a ski resort area turned all season residential and vacation area. It is most famous for hosting many ski events for the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympic Games. We drove around the olympic park and could see folks zip lining. The area was relatively quiet due to covid. For 1 and a half days we pretty much hung out, napped, ate, and I got a haircut. Enjoyed a few drives around the town and outskirts.

Notes about elevations.

So here we are at 7000 feet again. The last 3 days we have been barely lower than 6000 feet. Even on the flat plains, we are always higher than almost all fo the eastern United states. The mean elevation of Pennsylvania 1100 feet. Philadelphia elevation is a mere 40 feet above sea level. The highest point in Pennsylvania is only 3,200 feet.
