Joey's Graduation in June
Little Joey became Dr. Joey today. What a fine young man. Begins his residency this month in pediatrics as well as public health. Had a family celebration with him. Wonderful.
Celestial Travels in the Hudson Valley
Went to the Hudson Valley to visit our tree and watch the river. Celebrating Hyonmi's first celestial birthday.
On the way back, did a hit and run visit to Lucy's house in New York. Had ice cream and met her sister, and daughter, and grandson.
June 2024 Rhode Island to see Pam and Mark
Morfy and I travelled to Rhode Island to see Pam and Mark. Jim and Paula and Kali went up too. Stayed 2 nights. Tried camping in the yard. Enjoyed some wonderful meals including one Thai meal by Paula and Pam and a relaxing beachfront breakfast, and had some Johnny Cakes. Morfy went off on an extended excursion in the woods.
Took the long way home along the Atlantic Coast passing through tonws like Mystic, CT, Groton, New London and then over to the Palisades Parkway and back home by I95. Palisades is a beautiful road.
July 4th
Hung around at home. Fireworks from the windows.
July 10th Fascinators.
Kimiko introduced us to Fascinators a few weeks ago. To me it's somewhat like a hat fastened to your head. Kimiko reccommends them for all kinds of occasions and gets hers on Etsy.
Paula is considering wearing a Fascinator to an upcoming wedding. It's been a topic of wednesday dinner now for a few weeks!
I decided we'd wear Fascinators (of a sort) for Dawn's birthday. (see gallery)
Jake's Name in Lights
Jake Finished out his Europeean tour with Karol G. It was live streamed on YouTube. I got the following screenshot.
He got to work in all these places, but probably didn't get much site-seeing done!

3 days around August 5th. Paula and Jim invited me and Morfy and Dawn up to their daughter's Mountain House in Stamford NY in the Catskills, NY.
Been there before. Was a relaxing, uneventful, and enjoyable time.

- Night siteing of a great Owl. Use the APP [Bird Songs][] to identify. Saw it resting in a tree and then take flight in the dark sky over the meadow.
